It would be important for all to read information and research from your local university and sit down to communicate with professors and chairmen from different fields that can help one gain more intellectual insight of that particular study. Also, it is important for an individual to have lived in different countries, to understand different perspectives on life, with much communication without judgment. It will make your life more bearable as you search quest of such knowledge.

In regard to politicians, their usual tendency to gain power is through law, besides being rich. Thus, that leaves everyone out on this forum (web page) for election. Even with the Bible, that is a book of stories that powerful men of the church that decided what should be left in and out. Is that not abuse of power and propaganda? In order to make changes, you have to go through the corrupt and most powerful. Realistically, it will not happen, since you will end up a missing person or dead, due those in power that will not relinquish their personal power, nor wealth.

One brief note, a metaphor of using Jennifer Anniston was not the best example. Actually, the only reason an intellectual woman would want to see her knew hair style or colour is to find out which salon she went, too! Intelligent women and men do realize that looking their best is the first impression she or he will give some one. Once one is past the superficial stage, then the communication can begin (real life). Research that one in your Human psyche, or is that to difficult? It is my personal belief that every able citizen go to at least a four year college and have a G.P.A of 3.5 or above. But we need to restore some politeness to the discourse. Many of us have been led to believe it is okay to vilify those with whom you disagree. That vilification detracts from the points one makes because it demeans the person doing the vilification, casting his/her integrity and character in doubt.
Polite political discourse is a lost art. I would state where I believe the blame lies for that, but it would no doubt inspire a flame war of the type you are speaking. There are several reasons and sources for the state of political discourse in this country, and it does not all lie with one particular entity or philosophy. It doesn't matter who initiated it. Responding in kind is as bad.
But sometimes not responding in kind renders one side of an argument perceptibly weaker, and the ongoing refusal to "fight fire with fire" can, and has, weaken a perfectly sound political philosophy in the eyes of those who are not savvy enough to know it's happening.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Taking the high road is always desired by those with concerns for politeness, fairness and personal integrity. Too often, the cost of doing so is to lose political ground.
Politics is important. We all just have to agree to play nice. And my partisan inner voice is saying, at this very moment, "Yeah. Good luck with that."Kendallnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255006903719196220.post-16760269825724880862012-11-15T08:02:38.074-05:002012-11-15T08:02:38.074-05:00What a great philosophy, world would be a better p...What a great philosophy, world would be a better place if every church focused on how they could impact their community!Richard Saxbynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255006903719196220.post-6416741388528278282012-11-14T20:22:11.428-05:002012-11-14T20:22:11.428-05:00Dear Corey - I only wish I could/can do my work a...Dear Corey - I only wish I could/can do my work as well as you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09520807138722679836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7255006903719196220.post-91452369185808683872012-11-14T16:03:07.848-05:002012-11-14T16:03:07.848-05:00So much more effetive in the telling with the show...So much more effetive in the telling with the showing of the doors. She is gone, yet she remains. It is hard.
My struggle is accepting it. There is no one to rail against, though convenient that would be. I treasure and peruse the memories, decades of memories, we have gathered and kept of her.

And there is other pain and fear. Feeling my body age as my mind more slowly does so. Wondering will I follow my mother into personless living. Facing impoverished retirement if "things don't change" and change soon in our current path along extreme capitalism where the overriding consideration of charity, mercy and being our brothers' & sisters' keepers is "how much will it cost?"

These are the times that try mens souls both intimately/individually, and nationally/globally.

And so I find optimism in the quality of our youth.
